How to improve both sales and customer experience with visual merchandise.
Attention. The more people see a product the more likely you are to make a sale. Place a sticker that says Sale above a bottle of wine and more people will look its way. Place a sticker that says New on your display door in front of the latest RTD. Customers will notice it amidst the sea of premade cocktails and hard seltzers.
Inform. A one or two word informative sticker can really help a customer find what they are looking for. A sticker that says “Best Seller” can help a person decide what product to buy when they are shopping in an unfamiliar category. A sticker that says “Gluten Free” “Organic” or “Low Calorie” can help inform a customer that a product meets their dietary needs. A Local sticker placed on the display door in front of a four pack from your local brewery can help the tourist find it, or the customer who likes shopping locally.
Direct. A sticker that says “Available Cold” placed on a wine rack can help a customer make their decision. Placing this sticker near a wine with a higher profit margin can steer the customer to purchasing the more profitable wine because they can enjoy it as soon as they get home.
